Fair Scavenger Hunt, Part 1 (2007)

I went to the fair on Sunday with some friends, it was a pretty good time. Kris just dropped in, told us of a free "combine derby" and so a little while later, we were off....

That was pretty boring though, so after a while I remembered walking around at the Franklin Fair last year with Jimmy and some other people. I remembered something being said about "the people you'll always see at the fair." I brought this up and the idea seemed like a hit. The scavenger hunt began.

The first thing we found was the skinny goth chick with a fat emo kid:

Later we found the whigger:

And after that the guy in a wifebeater:

The hippie:

The disgruntled old black guy (a rare find, since G'burg is a racist craphole!):

The yokels:

The hookers:

The skanky older woman:

And the fat guy with a stubby beard and corndog:

The fat guy was the hardest to find, believe it or not. As we were walking around though, I did find the most amazing thing ever. It definitely made the entire trip awesome.

A LADY MULLET! I saw it and did a double take. "Is that a lady mullet?" I ask Dillon and Scott. "What, no..." Dillon says. I point it out. "Wow, that's a lady mullet."

I also saw some other random things:

I do not know what kind of veggies those are.

"Part of a horse" it was labeled. Glad I know now. (and knowing is half the battle!)

Anyhoo, there's a picture of the fair as we leave.

And I couldn't resist posting this one, Dillon with a mustache from a Pringles can!

(I think he looks like one of the guys from The Raconteurs music video, "Steady as she goes")

If you have any suggestions about what to add to the list, feel free to comment.... or if you've tried this at your fair with success, tell me! (And if you can't find it, you just didn't look hard enough!)

Wow... county fair stables. That was a fun trip down memory lane.

I haven't been to my county fair in years. I feel like I just was and don't need to go again for another 5,10 years. Ha.

The grain truck races where 100 times more cooler than the combine derby, you should have stayed to watch all of them. My dad is talking about entering the grain truck races next year :P. Also my ticket got called and I was in a contest to win holiday world tickets, but it was a hula hoop contest so I didn't do well at all :(

You should have got a better picture of "the hookers"

and I disagree that the black guy was a rare find as there are always 3-4 that come with the ride company :P

That was a fun time. We didn't even have to ride anything. It's all there though... The collection....
