I don't know, I hope it turns up soon. But Atlas Shrugged is finally getting to be... I'm not sure what the word is to describe it. "Tolerable," perhaps. Not exciting. Perhaps interesting. I've been interested in it since a bit before page 600, and I haven't lost that yet; whereas before that point i could read maybe 10-15 pages tops before wanting to shoot myself, I've been sitting there, able to read for 30 or so at a time before a distraction pops up. I can't really discuss the story, because I know at least one of my readers is reading this book as well and I don't want to spoil it. But I'm hoping I didn't jinx myself and that it stays tolerable through the next 300 pages.
At first I thought things were just random (albeit odd) coincidence, but the more this happens, the more I think my urges to drink are prophetic (note that this is sarcasm... mostly). But I can go several days, even weeks, without a drink, and then suddenly out of nowhere, I get the overwhelming desire to. And readers will argue, "that's just being a drunk," but the odd thing about it is, the urge ONLY comes before I'm contacted by someone from the past.
On that topic, briefly, I was given "answers" after about another month of added limbo. Three, that more talked around the issue and was an appeal for future friendship, was slightly disappointing. An effort, but perhaps an effort that's arrived too late.
I'm writing something and it can go one of two ways. I'm almost certain it will end one way, but who knows. We'll see. I've also been jotting down some memories that I haven't appreciated nearly as much as I should. I've thought about posting them in the future.
If I can keep plodding along on Atlas Shrugged, I'll probably post my thoughts on it in the next week or so (haha....maybe I'll finish it in that amount of time, but doubtful).
We all just wanna do our thing,
without the misery you bring.
